Start the program well ahead of the required time to get the letter, ads and posters written and the events scheduled. Deciding on the right kind of fundraising campaign, sources, products and participants are all required beforehand so that the jobs can be allocated right on time. Always coordinate the campaigns with the activities of the participants and see that they are not busy with other work or programs.
